We use Great Pyrenees to guard our livestock and haven't had any losses to predators since their arrival. The nights can sometimes be a bit noisy around here but the coyotes have learned that this is not the place to stop for dinner. Our dogs are raised not to be aggressive towards people however they can be intimadating. They can be handled for shots, worming and other medical procedures as needed.
